6 Miles and 5 Games

This morning I got up to do my run at around 6.  Since it was only 6 miles, I didn't worry about eating beforehand, so I could sleep in a bit.  I left by about 6:45 and it was cold outside!  The weather channel said it was 55 degrees, but it definitely felt colder than that.  I was glad that I was wearing my capris and not my running skirt (I was only in the capris because all of my skirts were dirty, but I was glad I was).  The 6 miles went really well and seemed to go by quickly.  I was really proud of myself because I ran the entire way, no walking!

After I got all cleaned up, I headed to the grocery store.  It was a rather small grocery list today, so I was done quickly and home before lunchtime.  I had a salad for lunch, it was actually my leftover lunch from yesterday that I didn't eat, and then took a nap.  I had to make sure to get my nap in early because my Alma Mater's football game was going to be on TV at and I didn't want to miss any of it.

My husband and I watched my Alma Mater beat up on another team while flipping back to watch my husband's current school beat up on a team as well.  Eventually it got a bit boring to watch two one-sided games, so we turned on another game that was much closer of a contest.

At about 4:30, my husband said he wanted lemonade and so he was going to out to the store to get some.  I stopped him and went into the pantry and pulled out our lemonade mix.  He then said he really wanted pink lemonade so I went back and looked in the pantry and found we had pink lemonade mix.  At this point, I decided that I really wanted pizza for dinner.  I asked my husband if he wouldn't mind ordering pizza for dinner and he said that would be fine.  I asked if we could order pizza from a local place whose pizza I really like, and I had a coupon for, and he said no.  I was a little confused for a minute but then I realized what was really going on.

He had already ordered pizza from Domino's and the lemonade thing was, at least mostly, a ploy to get out of the house to go pick it up!  I asked him if what I guessed was right and he admitted to it!  It was so very sweet of him!  He left to pick up the pizza and I made the lemonade, pink lemonade, for him!

While we were eating, my husband noticed that our puppy was curled up on the his pillow, which is always very cute.  He doesn't sleep on it much when it is warm out, so the fact that he was sleeping on it reminds me that cooler weather is indeed here.

He always seems to wake up right as I take his picture!
While I was on the floor taking a picture of the puppy on his pillow, he woke up and decided that he was in desperate need of attention from me.  He came over and started pawing at my leg to get me to pet him.  I really hadn't given him much attention today, so I decided to indulge him for a while.  He was so happy and content that he eventually fell asleep snuggling me.

He is asleep, he is just sleeping with his eyes open, which he does rather often, especially when he is upside down.
After that, I took a short break from football and then headed back to watch the Michigan-Notre Dame game and to listen to my husband's Alma Mater on the radio.  Apparently I like football a bit too much.  My husband sat with me for most of the night, which made it all the more enjoyable.  Now that I have watched/listened to parts of 5 different games, I think I should go to bed!
