Bad Hair Day

This morning, I woke up feeling better than I have since I got sick on Sunday.  I am not at 100 percent yet, but this was the first morning I felt decent getting out of bed. 

I had slept really soundly, which was good for my health but bad for my hair.  It had the two waves my hair gets if I left it air dry and it was really frizzy.  I decided that I would put my hair in a ponytail.  Unfortunately, that didn't really help.  So I decided to braid the ponytail, like I do when I run.  My hair looked fine but the end of the braid was the perfect length to just tickle my collar where it ended, which would have bugged me all day if I didn't change something.  So i took the braided ponytail and wrapped it up into a bun.  It ended up working out fairly well and it looked a good deal nicer than it should have for the short amount of time it took me to do.

Work today was fairly standard.  I did get to go have lunch with my friends.  She was down in the area near where I work and it was her birthday, so I took her out to eat.  We went to Steak N Shake, which I had only been to once before.  It was decent food, but being with my friend made it an excellent time.

In the afternoon, I spent most of my time sending e-mails and asking people questions about things that were brought up at the department meeting yesterday afternoon.  It seems like these meetings are going to be a 3 day process for me.  One day planning the meeting, one day for the actual meeting and one day to do all the follow up for it.

I went home and released the puppy.  He was so excited to see me and he had a lot of energy, which isn't typical for him, he usually does a lot of sleeping.  He went and got one of his toys out of his toy box and brought it to me to play with.  We spent a good 10 minutes or so playing with the toy.  I then sat down and watched some TV until it was time to head over to my friend's house for dinner.

It was really good dinner, and I ate to much, but I had a wonderful time.  Their youngest is really starting to say all sorts of understandable words since I last hung out with them a few weeks ago.  It still amazes me how much kids change in such a short period of time.

After that, I headed home to get some much needed rest before my run tomorrow.  I checked out the forecast for my run tomorrow and I have a 70% chance of rain tomorrow!  Hopefully, I will enjoy the rain as much as I did last time and hopefully there will be no thunder or lightning!
