After my run and shower, I packed up my stuff. I then took a few minutes to show my mom how to turn a regular t-shirt into a v-neck shirt, like I did for my color run shirt (here). She really likes v-necks and I was glad to get to show her something useful.
After we had packed my car and I was all ready to leave, I noticed a bunch of tiny spiders crawling around my center console! They ended up being scattered through random places in my car! There wasn't leftover food or anything that might have attracted them, so we had no idea why they were in there. We killed as many as we could and then vacuumed them up. We couldn't find any bug spray in the house, or we would have used that. For the rest of my drive, I was occasionally squishing them, although there were fewer and fewer as the drive went on.
On the way to my husband's parents house, I stopped at the home of the youth pastor (now senior pastor at another church) who my husband and I both worked for. His first son had just been born the last time I saw him and now he is 5 and they have another one who is three! It was good to catch up with them for a while, and it was also rather nice to have a good long break in my drive.
