Vacay Day 8 - The Lake

No run this morning, but I still get up early because I am an hour ahead of everyone else.  While every one was still asleep this morning, I did my laundry.  I did not pack enough clothes to get through the entire trip without doing laundry, so I decided to do some today.

At around 11, we headed out to our pontoon boat for the afternoon.  We cooked hot dogs on the grill on the boat deck, tooled around the lake and went swimming until around 4.  It was a wonderful relaxing time.  I got a tiny bit burned on one of knees, but for 5 hours, that isn't bad and on my knee it won't bother me as much tonight or during the drive tomorrow.  I reapplied sunscreen a couple of times and I know that helped.

After the lake, we were all wiped out (the sun always does that to me).  We did very little, pretty much just laid around and watched tv until bedtime (which was early for me).

I cannot believe that we are leaving Missouri tomorrow.  My trip won't be over yet, but part one will be.  After this week of not really driving (my parents have an explorer so we are generally piling in that to go places), everywhere I go from now until I get back to Ohio will be in my own car.
