Vacay Day 7 - Water Park

This morning I got up to do my longest mid-week run before my 10K.  I am just a few weeks away and this is my longest run week before I start to taper next week.  I know it is just a 10K and that a taper isn't super necessary, but this is what the training plan I am using says to do, so I am going to do it.  I still have to get through this week and the 6 mile run I have scheduled for Saturday.

After my run, shower, etc., I went with my parents to pick up my car.  Dad drove my car home while mom and I went to a local craft mall.  It was neat, but not what mom and I were thinking it would.  I had been talking to my mom the previous day about how I needed to get a new pair or two of Crocs (mine are the kind that don't look like your typical Croc) and as we were leaving th3 craft mall, we saw a sign for Crocs, just a block down the road.  We went in and I was a happy camper.  They had more styles of Crocs than I knew existed.  I really liked two pairs, but I didn't want to spend the money to buy both, so mom bought one of them for me as an early birthday present (3 months early).  At the register I also bought some "Crocsbutter" which was supposed to help your Crocs stay all nice and pretty.  When we got home, I tried it on my old Crocs (they had started out a nice black but had faded) and it worked wonders!  My Crocs looked brand new again!  It was like I had gotten three new pairs instead of two!

After lunch we went to a local water park.  This was the location of the 5K we did and we got free tickets to the 5K for signing up for the race.  It was a nice little park.  There were enough slides that we didn't do them all in the few hours we were there, so that was good.  I am not sure I would have paid what it cost to get in, but being free it was worth it.

After the park we went home to change and shower, and then went to dinner.  We meet up our cousins who live outside town.  The place was pretty good.  I shared and order of nachos and quesadillas with my mom.  It has a BBQ place so the nachos and quesadillas had BBQ meat, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce and baked bean on them.  It is not something I would have thought to try myself, but it was pretty good.

The Nachos!
We went home after dinner and finalized our plans for tomorrow.  We are renting a pontoon boat from 11 to the end of the day.  We will be on and off that boat all day I think. My mom may even bring her little dog out onto the boat.  Due to that, tomorrow's post may be rather late.
