This morning I got up to run before I packed up to leave. I had the best run I have had in Missouri. I think my body is finally starting to adjust to the hills and humidity here, too bad I am leaving today.
After my run, I packed up and got ready to leave. All of us were heading in the same direction. We dropped off my grandparents and then there was a bit of a detour. My little brother (who recently turned 21) wanted to try out a casino, so we stopped by one for an hour of do. My mom has been really into playing slots for the past year or so, but has real trouble quitting when she is ahead. I just wanted to get back on the road because I knew I would up the next morning for a 6 mile run and wanted to sleep.
The drive was pretty uneventful. I did like that I still had my EZ Pass for the Oklahoma tolls roads from last summer. It made it nice not to have to stop (or carry cash, which I rarely do). We stopped for ice cream mid way between lunch and dinner, which was fun!
We got to Texas at around 10 and I went to bed after setting out my running stuff for the big run I have scheduled for tomorrow.
