Done! Temporarily

It was weird this morning to not get up and go to church.  We normally do, even when we are on vacation but my husband couldn't find any churches he really wanted to visit and since the library closed earlier than we expected yesterday, he wanted to get back to work.  His goal was to have us finish all of the boxes we had at LAC so that we could start fresh after the civic holiday tomorrow.  Neither of our two archives are open tomorrow, because of the civic holiday, so we only had today to get everything done at LAC.

We headed out to pick up our laundry around 8.  I was rather impressed.  The laundry was folded neatly, except for my husband's button-up shirts which were hung nicely on hangers.  They did a much better job than we would have been able to so we thought it was well worth the extra we paid.  We stopped at Tim Horton's on the way back to get a second breakfast.  I got my usual cinnamon raisin bagel and my husband got a breakfast sandwich.

The place that did our laundry.  Cheesy name but they did a great job!
We went back to the hotel and put things away and then headed off to research at LAC.  We were pleasantly surprised to discover that we only had 3 boxes left! It made the prospect of getting through them all much more manageable.  We had gotten their right when they opened at 10 and worked until about noon when we stopped for lunch.  Usually we pack everything up and lug it all to our lockers, just to have to set it all back up after lunch.  Since the archives were so quiet, we decided to simply pack up our electronics (cameras, my husband's laptop and my tablet) but leave our paperwork and the camera stands all set up.

We went back to the hotel for more leftover lasagna and then headed back.  The return set up went so much more quickly and none of our things were bothered.  We may start doing that every time we head out just to eat.  It takes about 15 minutes to get everything all set up when we take it all away, but only about 5 minutes the way we did it this time.  We plunged through our last few folders and were completely done by 3.  It was a really nice feeling to be done.  Based on all the requests my husband has for next week, I am not sure we will ever be done again so it was nice to experience it for a little while.

We went back to the hotel and went over to do my cross training.  I decided to do the elliptical at the hotel fitness center.  I again forgot my iPod, but it wasn't too bad.  I could probably get used to running without my iPod , I just don't want to yet.  I did 30 minutes and worked up a decent sweat.  I made sure to not push myself excessively hard (I did not want to aggravate my knee which hadn't hurt at all after the race yesterday).  I did the random program and kept a consistent speed no matter what resistance the machine picked.

After my workout, we got ready and headed out to dinner.  We ended up going to eat pizza at the place we had gotten the lasagna from.  When my husband picked up the lasagna, he saw the pizza and knew I would like it (I like almost all pizza so it was a fairly safe bet).  The pizza did end up being really good.  Between us we ate about half of it and took the rest back to the hotel.  We stopped and got a few more grocery items (I had been out of grapes for a few days which was not good) and then my husband took my for ice cream!  We went to marble slab and I got their rocky road mix.  It was very good and probably more than I should have eaten but I am not going to regret it!

After all that, we went back to the hotel and made our plan for tomorrow. Since we can't do research, we are going to do touristy things, hit up museums and the like.  It will be a fun day!  We watched more Duck Dynasty and relaxed.  I did make myself some tea before we went to bed and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  It was a very relaxing end to our day.
