Wedding!

This morning my husband and I got up at around 5:30 to drive to San Marcos to meet his friend (and college roommate) and his wife for breakfast.  We got there a few minutes before they did, but it wasn't too long of a wait.  We hung out for several hours and had a good time chatting.  I even managed to remember to snap a picture of us all before we headed our separate ways.

I didn't pick a very good spot for our picture since we were all squinting but at least I got one.
When we got back to the house we were staying at, we spent an hour or two chatting with them and watching the silly plays that were put on by their kiddos.  I think we had a camera, cell phone, sunglasses, hat and purse all used as props in their plays.

After hanging out with them, we headed to New Braunfels to have a late lunch with the both of the extended families (the bride's and the groom's), minus the wedding party.  There ended up being about 30 of us who took over the hotel's dining area.  It was good conversation and it was fun for those of us who didn't get to go to the rehearsal dinner to get to know the groom's family a bit.

After lunch, I convinced all of the girls to go get a pedicure.  There was a total of 8 of us!  We completely took over the place we went to, but we had a great time.  One aunt and cousin had to hurry and leave early since they had to go back to their hotel to get ready (the rest of us brought our stuff with us and changed in the one room we had nearest to the venue) so I didn't get to include them in the foot picture.

After that, we headed off to get ready.  We got to the venue at about 6:10 and were seated by around 6:20.  The wedding started a little bit after 6:30 and it was very special.  It was outdoors and we were all a little bit worried about it being too hot, but it was actually rather pleasant and there was nice little breeze.  After the ceremony we all went inside to the reception where we ate, drank and danced.  It was a wonderful, fun time for all of us.

My cousin and her new husband!
My husband and I left at around 11 (which was later than we wanted to but earlier than everyone else) so that we could get up at 4 to drive to get me to my flight on time.  I am going to be exhausted when I get back, but this weekend was such a good time that I wouldn't change it.
