Work today was, again, extremely busy. I shouldn't complain because most of it is the students actually being serious and getting to work and not behavior issues that is keeping me busy. Once I finish one of the three work projects I am currently trying to tackle, things will hopefully get a little less non-stop, but until then, at least the day goes by quickly. I did manage to eat my lunch before 1 pm today, so I am at least getting better at making time for that.
After work, I picked up the puppy from the groomer's. My husband had dropped him off earlier and he was really happy to see me. He looked so cute with his short little hair cut and bandanna!

I chose not to have dinner when my husband did, because I didn't want to feel queasy during my run, so I was really hungry by the time I headed out to run. Normally Wednesdays are tempo runs, but I gave my friend the choice of tempo or intervals and she picked intervals. She really enjoys doing intervals with me because my interval pace is about her tempo pace, so she is only slightly uncomfortable. We did some laps around our neighborhood and I really let her push me. I think we were averaging about 9:45 miles on the interval parts. We went fast enough that I made her let me walk between intervals so I didn't pass out! It was a good run though, or at least that is what I am saying now that I am back to my normal breathing!
I had a strawberry-banana yogurt smoothie bar as part of my cool down and it was really delicious! I was also super hot and starving, so that may have skewed my perception of it. I will have to try one again sometime when I am not both starving and sweating.
I eventually had dinner, showered and then got ready for bed.
