My ticket said Terminal E, so my husband dropped me off there. Unfortunately, when I got inside, I saw that my gate had been changed and I was actually in Terminal C. I was a little nervous since I only had about an hour before my flight, but I was determined to try. I went and caught the train that goes between terminals and then went through security. The TSA person directed the person in front of me and myself to the Premier Access lane since it was less busy and we needed to hurry to catch our flights! I was so thankful!
I got through security without a hitch and over to my gate. I got the right before they started boarding. I got there just in time to hear them ask if anyone would be willing to have any of their larger bags check through to their final destination, not just gate checked, for free since the flight was full. I volunteered (glad to not have to worry about my bag as I navigated O'Hare airport) and then they started boarding. I ended up having a whole row to myself!
I got to O'Hare with enough time to get over to my terminal, grab some lunch and eat it. There wasn't really any extra time but I didn't have to rush. While I was eating, I saw an actual pay phone! It was crazy! I hadn't seen one in a very long time so I had to take a picture of it.

A real live payphone! |
I picked up my bag and then went out to meet my friend. She not only had driven over an hour to come get me, but since she was watching my puppy, she brought him with her! It was such a nice surprise to get to see him! We had a good chat while she drove me home. I enjoyed seeing her, but I was so glad to finally be home!
I spent the evening unpacking and doing laundry so I would be ready for school tomorrow. I also had to get a run in since my weekend was to buys to find 30 minutes to go running. I did a 30 minute interval run. I didn't do my normal speed intervals but instead did hills. I ran at for a quarter mile at "level" (1%), then did a quarter mile at a hill and repeated until 30 minutes was up. I increased my incline each quarter mile starting at 2% and getting up to 5%. I didn't slow down or speed up, just adjusted the incline. It was a challenging workout, which I would guess is because I never do hills.
After that, I ordered some pizza, showered, ate and then went to bed. I am super tired and all I have wanted to all day is sleep!
