Double Naps

This morning when I weighed myself it was 136.8.  Not the best weight I have had this summer, but definitely in the not scary range.  I think it will continue to go down as I continue to be better about my eating choices.

After breakfast, I worked on a previous weeks of my bible study that I was out of town for.  I have almost made up all of the ones I missed and I hope to be done making them up before Monday so that I will be back on track.  I then finished up and sent out to my schools, my teacher loan forgiveness application.  I have to have every school I have taught at in a 5 year period verify that I taught there and what I taught. It took some time to gather up all the appropriate information and send it out to the correct people.  I also try to make everything as painless for them as possible so I include a cover letter with all the relevant information they will need to look me up in their systems and a SASE for them to return the application to me with ease.

On my way back from the post office, I drove part of a potential running route.  All of my runs so far have been in our neighborhood and have avoided some of the busier streets.  In order to get much further than this weekends 7 miles, I would either need to repeat the same areas during a run (ugh!) or explore beyond our neighborhood.  There are some good neighborhoods to run in not far from us, but the road it get there can be kind of busy (although that probably won't be the case at 6 am on Saturday mornings) and has a 50 mph speed limit.  I drove the area today to look at the width of the shoulders and the area around the edge of the road.  I am glad I did.  One road that I would have put into a plan is currently under construction and has cones and a steep drop off on either side.  Probably a good place to avoid.

After lunch I took not one, but two naps.  I slept for about an hour or so right after lunch and then my husband got home and I work up, hung out with him for a while and then decided I still felt tired, so I went back to bed for another hour long nap.  My husband and I are helping out with the date night our church is hosting, meaning we will be watching kiddos while their moms and dads go out for a well deserved break.  It is always fun, but I thought it would be better to be overly rested than not rested enough.

We we out to eat at IHOP before we went to watch the kiddos.  Dinner was fun.  The restaurant was extremely empty so we felt a little bit like we had the place to ourselves.  The service was good and we had time to eat and get over to the church office where we helped watched the kiddos.

It was us and one other couple watching 8 kiddos between the ages of 6 months and 6 years.  It was fun!  I held one of the small ones (9ish months) most of the time and he was pretty good.  The 6 month old slept the whole time so it was mostly 3 adults watching 6 kiddos, not a bad ratio.  The parents were all very prompt in returning, which always makes things easier, and we were cleaned up and headed home by 9:05.

When we got home, I got things ready for my run, had a cup of tea and then headed off to bed.  I will be up at 5:30 tomorrow morning so I can be out the door by 6.  7 miles on schedule for tomorrow.  Should be fun.
